Junior defensive end Samuel Same and his 6-foot-6 frame garnered some well-deserved attention over the last few months.
Same holds offers from Iowa State and Kansas, and he has interest from Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Notre Dame, North Dakota State, Memphis and Stanford.
He played a key role in helping the Panthers to an 11-1 record, the AVCTL-I title and a seventh straight Class 6A state championship berth.
Same and the Panthers return a talented core of key players and have already put plans in motion to get back to the state championship game and bring another ring to Derby High School.
