Derby soccer player Bo Day recalled a fun memory for VYPE saying “The most fun I have had this year was probably on our family vacation to Puerto Rico. We all went kayaking at night in this bioluminescent bay. There are two people to a kayak and the heavier person was in the back. So my brother was in the back and I am in front of him but I am taller by 3 inches. He can’t see anything to steer, I am supposed to tell him which way to go and I didn’t do a very good job. We bickered the entire way but it was really funny. Our kayak was like the only one not going in a straight line.”
As far as athletics goes he shared with us “My favorite athletic memory is our high school team winning regionals my freshman year.” Something Day accomplished alongside “The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me – Collin Meyer. We’ve been playing soccer together since we were five years old. He is always pushing me to improve as a person and a player and I am better for that.”
According to Day “My favorite part of being on this team is that I have been playing on the same team with Collin and Ethan Young since Kindergarten. It’s cool to have had that complete experience kindergarten to graduation not only club soccer but High School. But also we have a lot of talent on the team this year and I am excited to see how far we can go.”
