

Freshman volleyball setter Vivianna Solis was recognized for her stellar play by being named the school’s September 2022 Female Athlete of the Month.
Solis, who is majoring in pre-physical therapy, has helped the Lady Tiger volleyball team to a No. 1 national ranking and has been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Setter of the Week five times. She ranks first in the conference in assists and recently surpassed 1,000 assists for the season. Her 15 double-doubles are a big reason why Cowley is 26-2 on the season.
Men’s tennis player Bruno Nhavene was recognized for his stellar play by being named the school’s September 2022 Male Athlete of the Month.
Nhavene is a freshman sports management/sports administration who has made a tremendous impact at the top of the Tigers’ singles and doubles lineup. He recently advanced to the semifinals in singles and won the doubles championship with partner Boruch Skierkier at the ITA Central Region Tournament. He is regarded as one of the nation’s best singles and doubles players.
