Derby’s Evan Clark participated in an interview with VYPE to share his story.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My personal goal for this year currently is to improve in bowling and tennis and also keep my grades up. 

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

The most fun I have had this year is all the team dinners and tournaments with the team. 

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

My favorite teacher was my 4th grade, Ms. Williams, because she made the class fun and she was pretty funny. 

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory is taking 2nd individually at our league tournament and winning the league title as a team in bowling.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate that has had the biggest impression on me would have to be Colby Hedden because he would have fun with the sport and really just taught me that everything will be fine even though you might be going through a slump. 

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part about being on this team is the memories we’ve created and also seeing each other improve each day. 

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

If I could choose any place to go for a vacation, it would have to be Australia, and I would take my family and some friends. 

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

If I was given 500 dollars and I had to spend it in the next 24 hours, I would probably spend it on some new bowling balls and some snacks.  

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

I am not currently participating in any community service projects but differently want to get out and volunteer during the summer. 

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I am currently in the Foreign Language club because I enjoy learning and speaking german.
