Q&A with Derby’s Braxton Clark – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Madrocks

Derby football player Braxton Clark completed an interview with VYPE to share details about his athletic career.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My personal goals for this year are to win state, and graduate high school. 

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

The most fun I had in the last year was actually recently at the KC 7on7 elite tournament and winning that. 

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

My favorite teacher would be my 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Tate because she taught me good habits and moral values.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory is winning state my freshman year.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me would be our center Austin Ediger because of his ability to be a leader on this team.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part about being on this team is the connections I’ve made with my teammates and coaches over the years. 

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

If I could pick any place for a summer vacation it would be in the Bahamas and I would take my  family with me of course.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

 If I had $500 to spend in 24 hours I would spend it on shoes lots and lots of shoes.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

Sometimes in the summer or winter the team will participate in community service projects whether that’s food drives or setting up firework stands
